To supply the global market with a simple solution for excavator operators to quickly alternate between a smooth edge bucket and a tooth edge bucket.

THE SITUATION

There exists a need for a combination excavating bucket which allows the operator of an excavating vehicle to easily and quickly alternate between using the bucket as a smooth-edged excavating bucket and a tooth-edged excavating bucket. The present invention substantially fulfills this need.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A combination excavating bucket with a retractable tooth bar, thereby enabling the excavating bucket to function as both a smooth-edged excavation bucket and a tooth-edged excavating bucket. It is adapted for connection to a power-driven excavating vehicle, comprising a transverse smooth cutting bar along its front bottom edge and a retractable tooth bar pivotally mounted to inner opposed lateral sides of the excavating bucket, wherein the tooth bar comprises a plurality of teeth extending outwardly from the tooth bar, and a pivot means for alternately moving the tooth bar between.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Combination Excavating Bucket are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

The Combination Excavating Bucket has been granted a patent in the United States and is the subject of Patent Pending in Canada. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
