THE SITUATION

Current methods of divot repair involve multipurpose tools that are generally handheld, involve an extension member and are constructed with plastic. The handheld models involve bending over and kneeling which can become strenuous and or even impossible to perform if an individual faces mobility issues. Furthermore, the extendable models and handheld models that are composed of plastic lack the strength and durability for prolonged use. Additionally, these methods don't offer the ability to be produced from recycled materials. There is a need for a strong and durable divot repair tool that can be made from recycled clubs and allows for quick and easy repair of ball marks and divots that can be performed from a standing position for ease of use.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Divot Devil repairs divots, which involves embedding one or more prongs from the divot head into turf beneath the divot, applying a leveraging motion to the handle and lifting the turf, while being in a standing position. It comprises of a shaft with a handle at the first end and a divot head having one or more prongs at the second end of the shaft. The second end of the shaft is fused to the divot head. The shaft and the handle are recycled from old golf clubs. The divot repair tool is molded as one unit.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Divot Devil are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

The Divot Devil is the subject of Patent Pending in the United States & Canada. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
