THE SITUATION

Putting shoes on with little or no hassle is a common goal. Trying to put on some high-top sneakers, dress, running and golf shoes without damage and creasing to the collar of the shoe can be challenging, and people with mobility limitations can struggle putting on their shoes independently. Hip and knee replacements alongside bone and joint deterioration can make everyday tasks like putting on shoes a daily struggle. The Shoe Assist Horn is a tool to help people with mobility limitations assist them with putting on their shoes. 

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Shoe Assist Horn includes a durable nylon strap approximately 2" wide and 2-3 feet long. The end is made of a flexible plastic bendable cord for fitting any shoe size. There is a fixed loop at the end for pulling, loose loop to insert flexible plastic when not in use and another fixed loop the same direction of the movable loop to hold the product together for portability. With the foldable straps, it’s easy to carry in a purse or a person’s pocket.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Shoe Assist Horn are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

The Shoe Assist Horn is the subject of Patent Pending in the United States & Canada. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
