THE SITUATION

Painting is a routine task both in new construction and remodeling projects, with approximately one and a half million gallons of paint sold every year in North America alone.

Most often during use the lid for the paint container is removed so the painter can access the paint, which leads to debris getting in and causing uneven paint. 

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Coating Can Cover is a fully transparent cone-shaped cover that helps prevent debris from entering the paint container. Once the container lid is removed, the cover is placed over the container as a replacement. It stops debris from getting in and protects the brush from getting dry as well as keeps liquid from getting a skim on top and on the brush. It is available to use of different sized containers for both brush and roller painting.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Coating Can Cover are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

The Coating Can Cover is the subject of Patent Pending in United States. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
