THE SITUATION

Torpedo levels are a commonly used hand tool for various construction projects to identify a perfect horizontal or vertical plane. These levels often come in different sizes to accommodate different projects, however they are not as accurate for longer distances. 

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Expandable Level accommodates alternate scenarios more effectively when identifying a level plane across desired areas. It has telescopic rods much like a car’s radio antenna which when closed is about 13 inches and extends to about 30 inches. It is easy to use and takes more accurate measurements than torpedo levels. Clip and locking clasp can be inset flush to be able to use both sides of the level without having these items protruding. It is portable and designed to be used in both confined and larger construction spaces.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Expandable Level are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

The Expandable Level is the subject of Patent Pending in Canada and the US. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
