THE SITUATION

Protein skimmers are devices that bring aquarium water into contact with a large concentration of air bubbles for the purpose of cleaning.. The skimmer is designed to produce foam, similar to the process that happens when ocean waves spill onto a beach. A common problem with protein skimmers currently on the market is uncontrolled foam. The foam produced during various periods of skimmer cycle creates an outward spray. The outward spray can cause damage to surrounding cabinets and furniture. It emits a foul odor. This creates work to maintain and clean.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Slopper Stopper is a splash guard, or a protein skimmer cap, that controls outward spray and direct sthe foam back into the skimmer collection cup and onto the plumbing lines. It is placed on top of the protein skimmer to protect the cabinet from outward spray, to control odour and minimize maintenance of the aquarium.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Slopper Stopper are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.
