THE SITUATION

Tongue and groove wood planks are popular materials often installed in the ceilings of either commercial or residential structures. However, due to their length, tongue and groove planks can be cumbersome to install by one person and often requires 2 people during installation which can be challenging.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The device is a tool that helps with the installation of tongue and groove wood planks. It holds boards in place while installing, allowing the installation to be made by just one individual. To use, simply place the upper part of the frame inside the ceiling. Once fixed, place the tongue and groove plank on top of the frame, thereby, providing support during installation. It is lightweight and can be adjusted to the length and width of the plank or as desired.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Tongue & Groove Installation Tool are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

The Tongue & Groove Installation Tool is the subject of Patent Pending in Canada and the US. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
