THE SITUATION

Family bike rides can be fun and exciting for both children and their parents. However, the transition from a push bike to a pedal bike can be challenging for a child without the strength to consistently pedal. Parents currently need to jump off their bike when their children need help up a small hill or just don’t have the strength to make it up a lengthy incline. 

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Kiddie Bike Booster is a bumper-like attachment that attaches to the rear axle of a child’s bike with the purpose of having the ability of getting a push from another moving bike. An adult would pedal their bike up behind their child’s bike when they’re in need of a boost, lining up the front tire of their bike onto the rollers of the Kiddie Bike Booster that is attached to child’s bike, pedaling forward giving child’s bike a boost for as little or as long as needed. Parents would no longer need to dismount from their bikes to assist their child. The subtle, lightweight attachment can be permanently attached to the child’s bike without causing any riding hinderance and is equipped with a pivoting roller head to accommodate different angles and tire sizes. And very importantly, it is designed with a built-in spring, providing a soft push every time. It is compact, lightweight, and can be used on both hills and flat ground, making it ideal for learners or children wanting to go faster or for longer rides.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Kiddie Bike Booster are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION
The Kiddie Bike Booster is the subject of Patent Pending in United States. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
