MISSION STATEMENT

To supply the global market with an easy solution to simplify mealtime by providing 3-wheel cutting ability for slicing foods such as pancakes and pizza using a safe and easy-to-use kitchen tool.

THE SITUATION

Presently there are no existing purchasable products specifically for slicing pancakes in multiple slices. Although a pizza slicer can be used for pancake slicing, it still requires several slices. Most adults need to cut them for their children, which takes time and can be frustrating. Pancakes are eaten all over the world, and there are breakfast restaurants such as IHOP, Cora's, and Denny's throughout the American continent that may be interested in supplying a pancake cutter at each table for customer use - which would increase consumer awareness, so that people would want to have one at home.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This device simplifies mealtime by providing an easy and safe way to slice foods such as pancakes and pizza by cutting three slices at a time. There are 3 staggered, parallel blades of different sizes encased inside a handle, similar to a computer mouse. The slicer functions in two modes:

1. With all 3 wheels down, it functions as a pancake slicer, cutting three 1" parallel slices. By cutting one way across a 4" pancake, for example, and then cross-cutting perpendicular to first cuts, the pancake will be quickly cut into 1" square bite-sized pieces.

2. By simply rotating the tool so that the lateral (outer) cutting wheels are facing up, the outer wheels become non-functional and the larger central wheel acts as a single-cutting wheel, similar to a standard pizza cutter. This could also be used to cut toast, bagels, or other breakfast foods in half.

The Pancake and Pizza Slicer Tool has a safe, durable, compact design with an attractive case for easy storage. With the simplicity of the device, children or people with dexterity issues will be able to easily cut some of their own foods. It can also come in different designs and colors to attract a variety of consumers. 

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Pancake & Pizza Slicer Tool are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

The Pancake & Pizza Slicer Tool is the subject of Patent Pending in United States. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
