THE SITUATION

Working on roofs are very common in construction and home improvement, however it is very dangerous for workers considering how sloppy roofs are designed and the lack of fixtures to help provide anchors for workers, which is why we created the Roof Safety Device.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Roof Safety Device is an easy-to-install solution that provides fall protection for workers. It provides a permanent anchor on a sloped roof for safety harnesses. It can be installed from the roof (on the outside of the house) and does not require any indoor installation. In the process of engaging the bracing mechanism, by tightening a bolt, it also seals the hole in the roof that does not require any additional roof patches or repairs. After installation, the device can be used by simply screwing in the hook, which then allows the user to attach their harness to the device. It supports itself to the structure of the house and has additional stabilization hardware for an extremely solid finish. This device is designed to be versatile and can be used to install a satellite dish or antenna flag and solar panels.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Roof Safety Device are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION
The Roof Safety Device is the subject of Patent Pending in United States. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
