THE SITUATION

Open infected fracture is one of the major worldwide problems, with millions of fractures every year. In advanced countries they occur during vehicle accidents and falls from height, and in war torn countries they occur as a result of high energy trauma due to gunshots and explosions. They may take a long time to heal, or in some cases may fail to heal, resulting in long-term pain and loss of function of that side.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

SFD (Sadat Fixation Device) is a mechanical and multi-functional device with proven results for repair of open and closed fractures or deformities in long bones of extremities and fixation of ankle joint areas. SFD offers maximum comfort to patients as it’s lightweight and generally implemented on only one side of the body. The patient is free to use the other side. SFD offers 30-50% faster recovery time using K wire vibration, and soft movement of the fractured side and removal happens without anesthesia due to the very small K wires.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the SFD (Sadat Fixation Device) are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION
The SFD (Sadat Fixation Device) is the subject of Patent Pending in United States. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
