THE SITUATION

Trades people don’t have a secure way to carry their drills on their tool belts. This causes accidental drops, tool loss and damage, and decreases productivity on the job.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Tool Attacher is a tool clip that will connect to any brand of cordless drill or impactor and enables the tool to be attached to the users’ tool belt. It also provides a locking action so that the tool cannot accidentally fall out. The user puts the tool receiver on to their tool belt and then installs the tool attachment to the factory/brand supplied tool clip on their drill or impactor. With the tool in hand in its work position, the user will slide the tool attachment into the tool receiver and then let the drill naturally rotate down 180 degrees, thus locking the attachment to the receiver. This clip will provide a secure way for trades people to carry their drills on their tool belts and prevents accidental drops, prevent tool loss/damage, and increase productivity on the job.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Tool Attacher are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION
The Tool Attacher is the subject of Patent Pending in the United States. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
