THE SITUATION

Vents are typically screwed into vent surroundings such as drywall, wooden studs, or the metal frameworks of the venting system. However, the vent void is often irregular, which results in the vent register not fitting properly or securely in the vent ‘ducting’. Which is why we created the Vent Register Adapter, to help fasten vent registers with ease.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Vent Register Adapter is an adaptor that fits under the register. It is made to fit any shape or size vent receptacle or vent cover, and helps fasten vent registers with ease. To use, simply place the adapter on the back of the vent receptacle and fasten with screws. Remove the adhesive tape from the backing and insert the register on the mounting area, eliminating having to drill into ceilings, flooring, and walls, and exposure of ugly screws. It keeps the register covers in place and is designed to help in finishing all the venting in a house or building. It is easy to use, has low production cost, lasts long once applied, and looks aesthetically more pleasing.

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Vent Register Adapter are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION
The Vent Register Adapter is the subject of Patent Pending in Canada and the US. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
