To supply the global market with a simple solution to help operators escape from their heavy equipment if a rollover or other accident occurs.

THE SITUATION

The cab and heavy logging equipment are built with strong cages and lexan to help keep the operator safe and comfortable while working. However, in case of any emergencies, such as accidents or fires, the exits may become obstructed, trapping the operator inside. Which is why we created Emergency Escape Cutter, to help facilitate the evacuation of operators when trapped in the event of an emergency.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Emergency Escape Cutter facilitates the evacuation of operators when trapped inside their heavy equipment in case of emergencies such as rollovers, accidents or fires. This device is designed to be mounted in the cab of heavy equipment for easy access. It has a docking station providing storage and charging for the device when not in use as well as storage for glasses, gloves and masks. The cutter is made to cut through materials like steel and plexiglass for emergency escape. The oval shape of the handle is designed to give the user a good grip while in use, and the blade guard protects the user’s hand and also guards from sparks so the upholstery doesn’t catch on fire. 

OBJECTIVES

The developers of the Emergency Escape Cutter are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION
The Emergency Escape Cutter is the subject of Patent Pending in United States. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
